Welcome to my blog! I’m so happy that you are here! Let me tell you a little bit about myself and why I’m here. I am a 14 month old Australian Labradoodle living in the Pacific Northwest. I love snuggles, playing fetch, and my very favorite thing is treats. I have a repertoire of tricks that I’m happy to do for a treat or two or three. My momma tells me I’m a pretty smart guy. She says my little nuggets of wisdom are like gold. We agree I have a lot to share and that I might be able to brighten your day, even just for a moment. Who couldn’t use more of that?! My family tells me that I’ve brightened all of their days since coming home. This makes me so happy that I’d like to share a little bit of that happy with you too.
Let’s chat a moment about choosing to be happy. I choose to be happy every day. Now you may think that’s a pretty easy thing for me to do. You can probably see by just looking at me that I am a happy guy. Why can’t choosing to be happy be an easy choice for you too? I think it can be.
Think about one thing or memory where you felt happy. For me, of course, it’s treats! For you maybe it’s walking outside on a fall day, and seeing the beautiful colors of the changing leaves. Maybe it’s relaxing while sipping a coffee. Possibly it’s snuggling on the couch under a blanket watching Netflix with your pup or favorite human. Or, perhaps it’s sitting on a beach looking at the waves crash the shoreline while pelicans dive bomb the water.
Let your mind go back to that favorite thing or place just for a moment. Can you feel the ease, feel those good feelings come flooding back, remembering that thing or moment? Those same feelings you had while walking outside, snuggling on the couch, or burying your toes in the sand? See, it can be that easy!
When you want to feel like a happy pup like me, take yourself back to those happy thoughts. Even just for a moment. Stay tuned for more of my little nuggets.
Come walk with me, if you’d like.
Good advice! I try to keep my happy thoughts in my head, but sometimes it is hard and I really have to think about it. Thanks for the reminder!
I get it! We’re all working on this together.
I had a happy moment when I took Ziggy (my labradoodle) to the dog park for the first time yesterday. Watching him run and play with other dogs was pure joy. Even in the cold, I was a happy proud fur momma. I took him again today. I think I’ve found my happy place 🙂
I’m so glad you found your happy place. I’m sure it’s Ziggy’s as well! 😉
Great blog! Love the idea of utilizing the Doodle to help get a point across. My sister recently got a Doodle, Gracie is her name. Such wonderful dogs, so very smart and loving. A perfect family pet.
Thank you! I agree we are the perfect family addition.
